I made Cheese! ^^

There's this type of cottage cheese that i tasted in india.. It's called paneer and is widely used in north indian cooking. Being a cheese freak, I fell in love with it at first bite and was determined to learn it and make it back at home. Finally it worked! After some teachings from some of my friends from india, and some googles... and some personal experiments and modifications!

The feeling is good... People will actually ask... "You cook cheese... Okay... But err... YOU MAKE YOUR OWN CHEESE"? Feels like you have some superpowers or somehting... Haha.. Actually its relatively easy... After making it, I fried it in chillies... This is a north india cooking called Chilli Paneer.

KL..

Staying in KL for a week has been fun and I must say, it's not enough! Not enough to enjoy all the fun places and happenings there! But that is good in that it will make me return for more!

This is the jetty to take a ferry to Pulau Ketam

They built their village up to the water

Inside the island... On a boardwalk

Seafood fried meehoon is awesome

The "not so awesome as fried meehoon-still awesome fried rice"

The ass-kicker salted egg crabs!

We then went to The Loaf at Pavillion. This is the restaurant cum bakery opened by our former Prime Minister Tun Mahathir Mohammad.

Was candid! ^^

Their breads are really good.

We ordered 2 sets of breakfast which filled us up until lunch! Very big portion. One was a Malaysian breakfast known as Tun's breakfast (Tun's favourite breakfast) and another was an american breakfast.

The american breakfast, RM29+ can feed 2! Omelette, sausages, hash browns, light salad served with 2 pieces of chunky bread and a croissant. Comes with orange juice and coffee/tea.

Tun's Breakfast consists of a fragrant mutton curry with 2 pieces of chunky bread for dipping and 2 half boiled eggs. I opted for 3/4 boiled and they did it perfectly accurate! Also served with orange juice and coffee/tea.

My eggs fixed with soy sauce and pepper...

Haircut!
New hair

Street Food

Some glutinous rice with chicken floss and sambal

Fried stuff. The round ones have a yolk in the middle and the rolls are made of crabsticks and cheese.

Mango Ice...

KL Hokkien Mee

Large crispy fried prawns (chinese name: urinating prawns). Fried with salted egg coatings.

Have to have it with this!

My perfect vision...

is gone...
How I missed the times...
When I can see so sharply...
In a distance of a mile...
When I can sense danger approaching...
With senses almost inhuman...
My perfect vision...
now gone...

Now i feel handicapped... I had eye infection for about 3 weeks... Called my supervisor to take me to a doctor but it took like forever... And now... It's sort of damaged... i was prescribed with some eye drops... they say it'll be fine... but the thing is that... now, my perfect vision is gone... Almost all I see in a distance is blurred... Can't focus... i missed those times when everything was sharp... When I could stare right into the core of the sun. When I can read stuff from far far away. Not aided by any optical devices... now both of my eyes are imapired. 180 deg on both sides... i always wanted to wear glasses... but not for the need of it... I have to say... I missed my perfect vision so, so much... i feel seriously handicapped. Feel unsafe. Feel not used to it. The truth is, I will never be... as vigilant again. Gone is my agility... My strength... Where's my ability to scan? Where's my sharpness? I hope it'll come back one day... But if thisis God's will, let it be done... I have to admit I like my looks more with glasses... But not when I really needed to use it. I will train... My agility will come back. I will be as vigilant as before.

Cause of eye infection: Dust and uv rays in India
Cause of eye injury : Procastination of medication and excessive rubbing.
Total consequence : Imapaired vision
Who to blame? : Partly the area, the climate. Partly myself for rubbing. Onot forgetting the people who took forever to take me to the clinic. Screw them. Good hospitality. This is the way to treat your guest. The guest of the vice-chancellor. I will tell of this back in my country.

I will have my perfect vision back
